Markus Finster

Manager, Software Support Strategy

Management Software Delivery

Markus Finster joined Cisco back in 2013 through the acquisition of SolveDirect (now ServiceGrid). His favorite deal he helped to close was with Dimension Data - mostly because SolveDirect was not able to close with them a couple of years earlier. But Cisco ServiceGrid was.

After the ServiceGrid BU transitioned into Regional TAC in TS earlier in FY17, he made the switch to head the newly founded the Software Support Strategy Team for R-TAC EMEA. His mission (in the words of his boss): "Teach a 30-something-year-old hardware company to speak software."

Markus lives in Vienna, Austria, with his wife and two lovely daughters (born in '11 and '14). He loves movies, but ever since his kids were born he's more likely to see the newest of what Disney or Pixar have to offer rather than Scorsese or del Toro.

He also recently picked up woodworking as a new hobby, but doesn't take commissions (yet). If you want to see his creations, you can follow him on instagram at @derfinsterling.
